President Trump has been calling the media “the enemy of the people” for quite a while now, so it was only a matter of time before a loon with a rifle popped up and decided it was his mission to murder reporters.
Robert D. Chain seems to be that man, a Californian arrested by the FBI after making a string of a dozens death threats against Boston Globe reporters.
It is Trump’s fault?
No. Robert D. Chain is his own strange thing.
But the president certainly carries some of the blame for encouraging him.
The sooner Trump is out of the White House, the safer we all will be.
