You might think it’s the best thing in the world to go out and cover yourself with some kind of goo and hang in the sun until you are brown as a French fry, but some other parts of nature take the sun more seriously.
We spent a few hours walking near Northwestern University the other day and because I had my camera, I just had to sit and look at the ducks for a while. It was hot and sunny and this little pack found the perfect place to rest.
They sat there for a quite a while, then as ducks will, they all got up as though they had a text alert and headed back into the quiet waters of Arrington Lagoon just for a little tonic and some dramatic duck bathing and splashing.
More common sense in this group than in many a group of sun bathers!
